Yasmin Hani + Shaarin

A short film of two love birds, Yasmin Hani and Sha’arin Razali. A story about similarities and difference (yes it is singular), and why they like to spend time with each other. When we approach them with the idea of making this short film about them, they simply agree to it. Then together we brainstorm for ideas and concepts, they came up with the script and we figure out everything else.

We had great time shooting Hani and Sha’arin, they are very humble and friendly, and we couldn’t be more thankful for their cooperation for this short film. Eventhough we only know them for a short while, they treat us more like a friend rather than a vendor.

21st Oct 2011 was their big day, which took place at Duchess Place in Ampang. It was a very small and intimate ceremony, where only close friends and families were invited. Hani looked stunning in her dress, created by Hatta Dolmat. Thanks to the couple for trusting us to capture their weddding.

A short film of Jaja Anuar and Ahmad Mustaffa, a story of how they share 331 days of courtship before they tie the knot on 11th June 2011. The concept of this video came from the couple who loves 500 days of summer movie. We try to adapt their idea into our style of shooting and with the support of their family and friends we managed to pull this off. This video was shown during the reception night and thank god we had a great response. Thanks to both of them for the awesome concept, and we had a wonderful time working with u guys. We would love to work with other wonderful couples to produce their own short film in the future. Please do inquire if you are interested to have something similar as this. Leave us some comments on what you think of the video…

Ainee + Khairil

Sometimes modern weddings can be a little bit mixed with some really traditional element. This wedding is an example of old johorean culture being mixed into today’s wedding. Normally for johoreans, the bride and groom will not march in together, instead the bride will sit at the pelamin and the groom will come in later. But there’s a catch to it, the groom will be blocked by several mischievous relatives, forming a human barricade, asking for toll money or the groom wont pass through. In the case of Ainee and Khairil, its good to see the groom being able to pass through all the tolls with any problems :)

Nurina + Izani Jakel

We are honored to be chosen by the Jakel family to be their official cinematographer for their brother’s wedding, Izani Jakel, alongside Daniel Haikal Photography as the official photographer. Quite a grand wedding, full with VIPs and VVIPs from all over the country and we had loads of fun capturing this wedding. Anuar Zain sang at the wedding and as usual his voice was mesmerizing. His appearance completely over shadowed the bride and groom, i kid you not… It takes 3 of us from Avicenna Studio, to shoot this wedding, as we’re always remind our clients to have at least 3 cinematographers to cover a formal wedding event, to ensure that we covered all the important angles.

Congratulations to the bride and groom, and please do enjoy the end result.. cheers!
